Quarter Banking
A look at Quarter Banking - A modern, accessible banking solution for the online generation. This project is a remaster of an original work that was conceived as part of my UX immersion module with CareerFoundry.
How the system will be interacted with
Problems with the online banking experience
The first step of the project was to define a user-centered, usability-focused design ethos. I also conducted thorough competitor analysis of popular banking application, such as PayPal, Revolut and Monzo. Doing so provided opportunities for where to improve on the current banking UX, and allowed me to create a more usable and global experience.

How we proceeded
To try and get an experience as close to a real product as possible, I journeyed through the entire User experience process; developing and sending user surveys as part of quantitative research, and leading in-person user interviews to help me better understand how participants currently found browsing through online banking apps.

Deciphiring the analytics
With the information collected, User Personas, Journey maps and User flows were all developed to help visualise the journey a typical user would be taking through the web application. This also helped to form the information architecture and navigation systems throughout the app.

The final product
The final product was first drawn out as low-fidelity wireframes, and then eventually fleshed out to be a fully functioning online prototype. Usability testing and preference tests were conducted with a number of participants, and changes were both implemented and improved upon during the final design stage.

A Retrospective
Taking the time to re-do this exercise with an improved skillset (as the project was originally created as part of my UX immersion boot camp with CareerFoundry) proved incredibly valuable in understanding my abilities right now as a designer. I hope that I will be able to bring these skills forward for any and all teams I work for, across a wide range of industries.
